Saghani ggaay (“Young Raven” in Ahtna) is an Alaska Native Youth summer camp inviting Copper River area youth to learn cultural identity curriculum lead by Indigenous Instructors hosted by the WMC and Raven Moonlight nonprofit.
Join our special guest, Indigenous instructor and Raven Moonlight co-founder, Sonia Vent, along with the youth participants to hear Sonia's origin stories of Koyukon Athabascan descent raised in the Interior of Alaska. This informal, “living room” event invites the community to hear about stories of identity and belonging. Questions and open discussion welcome! Held in the Old Hardware Store on the WMC Campus on July 17 at 7 pm.
